The Science Behind GLYSOLID
What are moisturizer ingredients?
Active ingredients in moisturizers can be classified into three main classes including occlusive, humectants emollients. Each class has their own functions and properties, which contributes to improving and maintaining skin hydration. GLYSOLID Skin Cream is a complete moisturizer as it is equipped with three classes of moisturizing ingredients. [1]

Glycerin
What is Glycerin
Glycerin is found naturally in both plant and animal lipids (fats) known as triglycerides. But not all glycerin is natural. A synthetic form of glycerin is derived from propylene. Some sources of synthetic glycerin can be dangerous to your health, and not preferred for cosmetic purposes. The glycerin in GLYSOLID is vegetable glycerin, derived from palm kernel oil, which comes from the kernel or seed of the fruit in oil palms. Why Glycerin?
GLYSOLID is 50 percent glycerin. According to a 2016 study, glycerin is "the most effective humectant" in comparison with numerous others. [4] |
Scientific StudiesGlycerin Cream Far Out-Performed Other Creams And Lotions [5]
A study conducted by Dr. Yohini Appa et al found that products containing 25% or more glycerin (aka Glycerin Cream) improve dry skin far better than lotions and creams containing little or no glycerin. Glycerin Cream Improves The Outer Layer Of The Skin [5]
Another study conducted by Dr. Donald S. Orth et al found that glycerin creams (containing 25% and 40%) improve the outer layer of the skin, stratum corneum and its moisture retaining abilities. These visible improvements to the skin are believed to be the basis for the superior performance of high glycerin products. |
Allantoin
What is Allantoin?
Allantoin is an extract from the seedlings of many herbs and is a proven pharmaceutical ingredient. Allantoin is a moisturizing ingredient with emollients properties. It has the ability to soften and moisturize the skin and decrease itching and flaking. Research has shown it to be a cell proliferant, causing faster healing of skin cells while allowing a faster regeneration and replacement of old, worn out skin cells. |
Scientific StudiesProle of wound healing process induced by allantoin. [6]
On top of that, Allantoin is well-known for skin healing and the growth of new tissue. According to a 2010 study, group that treated with allantoin has more significant wound healing profile. The allantoin group demonstrated that it is able to ameliorate and fasten the re-establishment of the normal skin. [6] |
